Constitution of the Alumni Association of Fontys International Hogeschool Economie, Venlo

ARTICLE 1 – NAME

The name of this Association is FIHE Alumni Network (F.A.N.).

ARTICLE 2 – PURPOSE

The Association and the executive committee shall be actively engaged in activities which promote the Hogeschool (events) and provide leadership in support of alumni, students, faculty, administration and trustees of the Hogeschool.

Our vision focuses on the following goals:

a. Provide programs and activities which sustain and improve the relationship of the alumni with fellow alumni, students, faculty, administration and trustees of the Hogeschool.
 
b. Engage alumni in activities which support students after graduation.

c. Serve as advocates for the Hogeschool.

ARTICLE 3 – MEMBERSHIP

Membership in this Association should include all graduates of Fontys International Hogeschool Economie Venlo that means student who have already received their diploma and students who are permitted to enter the diploma-phase.

ARTICLE 4 - MEETINGS

Annual and Special Meetings: There shall be an annual meeting of the Association in order to discuss issues such as mentioned in ARTICLE 2.

Special meetings shall be convoked by the chairwoman of the board (Claudia Schnelle) of the executive committee if necessary.

ARTICLE 5 – DATA SECURITY

All data about the registered members will be handed exclusive for alumni network purposes. Members who will be registered by the homepage are free to publish their business or private information.

ARTICLE 6 – NEWSLETTER

Every member will receive a newsletter via email. This newsletter will be published every quarter and will inform the alumni’s about upcoming events, Fontys information and further general issues.

ARTICLE 7 - CONTRIBUTION

The executive committee plans in future to receive member’s yearly fees. This issue has to be discussed in detail in order to achieve an agreement in the near future. The executive committee reserve the right to include a fee payment anytime.

ARTICLE 8 – THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The executive committee of the FIHE Alumni Network (F.A.N.) looks as follow:

The executive committee will be refreshed after a period of four years via a democratic, secret election.

ARTICLE 9 – Exclusions

The board can exclude alumni for a specific time period because of unwanted behaviour on the website: f.e. discrimination, spam, etc.
